Alex has dedicated his career to the design, development, and delivery of intuitive online products that engage users while driving key business indicators. At Factory Design Labs (FDL), Denver, Alex pioneered product thinking in the agency's first dedicated role and was responsible for the analysis, planning, and ownership of problem-driven digital initiatives for clients in both B2C and B2B contexts. Before FDL, Alex led front end design and development efforts for four years at FirstBank of Colorado where he introduced modern development practices focused on User Experience and helped launch the institution’s first mobile-specific interfaces. Alex received his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the College of William and Mary with a year of studies at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He wrote content and technical documentation for AOL and designed interfaces for the financial industry’s first web-based cash management system before returning to Europe for a Master’s in Business from HEC Paris. Alex is husband to Naomi, father to Max, Gavin, and Emily, has podiumed in cyclocross races in the U.S and France, and is an accomplished backcountry skier, photographer, and musician. Above all he is a firm believer in diversity of experience and perspective informing the quality of life, work, and play.
